35 Years Anniversary
In the 1980s, many gay Zurich residents dreamed of having their own sports club, which was then founded in 1990 with Gaysport Zurich. The club has continuously grown. More and more women and transgender people joined and new sports were added.
After 35 years, the club still exists - today under the new name Rainbow Sport Zürich and with 9 different sports.
In addition to joint training sessions and competitions, the RSZ has been offering plenty of space for new encounters, informal get-togethers and exciting activities for almost 35 years. Together, we are committed to the LGBTQ+ community and its visibility in sport.
We will be celebrating our 35th anniversary on Saturday, 6th September 2025 with Games without Borders at the Schluefweg sports facility in Kloten. All members and friends of the RSZ can take part, regardless of their sporting ability, and we will be playing in mixed teams from the various sports departments.
Curious to know who’ll be on your team?
Then don’t miss the big team draw on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Kweer Bar. Our glamorous draw host Gossipa will lead the event – you won’t want to miss it!
